Dates of Employment for Summer 2027
- ALL STAFF Training Dates: Sunday, June 13 - Saturday, June 19
- Children’s Camp Dates: Sunday, June 20 - Saturday, August 14
Additional Training Dates based on position:
- Trips Staff Training Dates: Monday, June 7 - Saturday, June 12 (arrivals Sunday, June 6)
- Lifeguard Training: Thursday, June 10 - Saturday, June 6 (arrivals Wednesday, June 9)
- Ropes Course Training: Thursday, June 10 - Saturday, June 6 (arrivals Wednesday, June 9)
Salary Information for all Counselors & Trips Staff
- SALARY: $6800 (includes Satisfactory Completion Bonus of $500) for 8 weeks of Camp and 1 Week of Training (Housing, meals, weekly laundry service, and life long memories all included!) *Trips Staff and Ropes CourseTraining paid additionally per diem for additional training time.
- Leadership Staff and Leadership Support Roles: Paid on a different scale based on qualifications.
- Leadership Staff Positions include: Girls Camp Head Counselor, Boys Camp Head Counselor, Special Programs Coordinator & CILT Leader, Trips Coordinator, Waterfront Director, Activity Director.
- Leadership Support Positions: Head Lifeguard, Assistant Wrangler.
- Trips Staff who hold Wilderness First Responder certifications will receive a $600 bonus upon completion of summer.
- Trips Staff who hold a Wilderness First Aid certification will receive a $200 bonus upon completion of summer. Or Skylake will reimburse for WFA certification if not already obtained. WFR is preferred however.
PLEASE NOTE: All Counselors and Trips staff are required to have Red Cross certifications in First Aid, CPR and Lifeguarding before the summer starts. There will be a limited number of spots available for those counselors who cannot find Lifeguarding courses before Staff Training starts. Dates for lifeguard training are Thursday, June 10 - Saturday, June 12. Those staff members obtaining their lifeguarding certification during this time will be charged $325 for the course which includes training, housing and meals.
